Dusker’s new single, “Let’s See Ya,” is like being dragged into a mosh pit while someone recites poetry at you—chaotic, sharp, and strangely profound. Dropping January 8th via Peleton Records, this angular noise-rock track offers a tantalizing preview of their upcoming 2025 album, Limb Rung Ladder.
If The Fall had a hyper-caffeinated younger cousin who also dabbled in controlled demolition, it’d probably sound a lot like this. From the first note, “Let’s See Ya” comes out swinging with wiry guitars that sound like they’re trying to saw their way out of your speakers.
The vocals are a mix of punk shouting and cryptic spoken-word that could double as graffiti slogans. Somewhere out there, Mark E. Smith is probably nodding in approval.
But just when you’re bracing for more sonic haymakers, Dusker takes an unexpected detour. Midway through, the track downshifts into a sedate, almost reflective moment, as if they’re letting you catch your breath. Don’t be fooled. This is the eye of the storm. Before you know it, the chaos is back, dragging you kicking and screaming into a maelstrom of jagged riffs and unrelenting energy.
“Let’s See Ya” is messy in all the right ways—a snarling, layered tangle of sound that’s as fun as it is ferocious. It’s not just a song; it’s an adrenaline shot with a side of existential musings. If this is the warm-up act for Limb Rung Ladder, buckle up. Things are about to get gloriously noisy.
