Hendricks the Hatmaker - 'From the Cities'

Looking for some rebellious, old-school punk with a fiery attitude? Look no further than the latest single from Swiss punk band 'Hendricks the Hatmaker' titled 'From the Cities'.

This song was born out of the intense experience of participating in a Black Lives Matter demonstration. Filled with a whirlwind of impressions and emotions, legend has it they locked themselves in the rehearsal space, and within three hours, the song took its final shape. “It's that spontaneous burst of creativity that gives the track its punky vibe and aggressive energy”

One line in the verse captures the essence of the song perfectly for me: "Why the hell do we have to defend what should be common sense?"

Hendricks the Hatmaker, composed of Nicolas, Stefan, and Ramona, blend the three musical genres of "Gin," "Millinery," and "Butt-Kicking." With their instruments, they revel on the edge of music, prancing on the bar counter of society, and peering into the depths of many troubled souls. Their melodies are as sweet as juniper berries, aromatic as coriander, and as spicy as pepper.
