The Falcons of Haunt - Helicopters over Geiger

"Helicopters over Geiger," is the latest offering by The Falcons of Haunt. This release features a captivating blend of dark atmospheric beats, a deep bassline that evokes the sensation of a hovering helicopter, enchanting percussion, and skillfully crafted voice samples.

Featured on the album "These are the Damned," serving as an alternative soundtrack to the 1963 Oliver Reed film, this masterpiece was written, played, and produced by Dave Pitt at Primitive Studios in Sedgley, UK.

The Falcons of Haunt came to life in 1977 when Dave Pitt discovered the raw energy of punk rock, realizing that anyone could become a star for a day. The initial bands, including de depress and the scuts, quickly became the new idols, and more experimental groups followed suit, such as The Decorators, Shower Birds, I Am John's Skin, and the moderately successful Poppyland. In 2010, the solo years began, with notable projects like Trench and the Egg Spaniel, Lava Lamp, and The Gooseberry Spines.

The Falcons of Haunt made their debut in 2012 with "The Daze of Milton Smallkettle," and since then, they have released over 35 albums in the span of 40+ years, promising even more to come. Categorizing their music is a challenge as it defies easy description, but it encompasses elements of alternative rock, skewed pop, ambient, dub, classical, electronica, soundtracks, neo-folk, and numerous other genres, all delivered with a delightful touch of psychedelia. Dave Pitt stands as the creative force behind The Falcons of Haunt, playing all the instruments, producing, and writing the mesmerizing tunes.

Embark on a profound journey into the captivating and unpredictable world of "The Falcons of Haunt," and indulge in the deep immersion their music offers.
