"Sugar and Spice", is the second single from “Shock Pop Vol.1” from the innovative Danish artist ‘Chopper’. “Sugar and Spice” stands out as the most astonishingly hedonistic piece of the bunch which takes the listener on a wild, fast-paced journey through a range of genres and emotions, reminiscent of Bowie's "Outside" album, ABBA's heyday, The Shamen's acid-infused sound, and Ministry's outrageousness. "Sugar and Spice" is like a fever dream that entices and excites, leaving you reluctant to awaken. The song blends eerie, comical, and scary elements with its use of bold jazz saxophones, heavy guitars, pompous strings, and orchestral hits from the 80s. Chopper manages to merge all these disparate parts into a cohesive and innovative whole that is both powerful and beautiful. Not to mention, a whole lot of fun too! Glitchi's vocals add an intriguing and emotionally ambiguous layer to the track, complementing Chopper's harsh and somber tone. "Sugar and Spice" is a musical rollercoaster ride that promises unforeseen surprises, maximalism, and chaos, all held together by Chopper's strong creative vision. It's a delightful mix of sweetness and spice that should not be missed! I hope there will be a “Shock Pop Vol. 2”.
