Roots of Creation's acoustic mix of "Roots of Creation" is a lively and uplifting cover of Sublime's original track. This reggae/ska group has achieved remarkable success, having topped both the Billboard and radio charts, won awards, and gained international recognition as a reggae-rock sensation. Whether they're performing at festivals like California Roots (Cali Roots Riddim 2021), Jungle Jam, or Closer to the Sun Mexico, or sharing the stage with influential artists such as Slightly Stoopid, The Wailers (Bob Marley & The Wailers), and Michael Franti & Spearhead, Roots of Creation never fails to deliver a high-energy and infectious live music experience. Their music, which combines reggae riddims, conscious lyrics, spirited horn lines, and electronic beats, always gets the crowd moving and has garnered a loyal fan base (known as the RoC Family) and street team (the Universal Soldiers) who travel across the country to pack out venues.
Roots of Creation's latest project is a unique and exciting one: Grateful Dub: A Reggae Infused Tribute to The Grateful Dead. This album is the result of their deep love for both reggae-dub style music and The Grateful Dead's iconic songs, which they've reworked into a new studio album. To bring their vision to life, Roots of Creation had the pleasure of working with the legendary 5-time Grammy winner Errol Brown, who was Bob Marley's engineer and now serves as Rebelution's live sound engineer. Grateful Dub is also being performed live in its entirety at festivals, theatres, and clubs around the country, featuring rotating special guests. This project perfectly captures the spirit and magic of The Grateful Dead while infusing it with reggae-dub style to create something truly unique and special.
