I rather like oddness and I appreciate those acts who push the boundaries, that's what you get with Talk to Your Neighbor and their latest single Half Moon. Somehow they manage to fuse elements of trip-hop, classical, folk and about a million other styles into a haunting curveball. Each phase comes and goes, whilst Ana Ruess orbits the shifting landscape with a mesmerising vocal. Tremendously odd and that's why I like it.
Talk to Your Neighbor are a Washington DC-based musical collective and showgoers can expect an immersive, no-stops performance of the quintet’s sonic repertoire interrupted only by thoughtfully choreographed musical transitions between each number.
The single is available on Bandcamp.
