I always like a well constructed song and that's exactly what you get with
Daffodil Floors by
Mandi Mapes, a kind and gentle protest song about her
“personal journey of coming to the end of a long religious road. Finding the courage to step off that road and begin resting in my beloved-ness”. It starts simply enough with piano and vocal, but then at every point along the way, whilst being charmed by the Mandi's voice, the arrangement slips in a new element keep your ears interested. A terrific recording.
