Good to start the new year with a spoken word track in the form of Not Much Of A Moon by Jonathan Nagel. The piece features a charmingly recited poem which is performed by Ruby Frances Jones above a dark and shifting abstract soundscape of warped strings. The track is about "mythology, nature and awakening of female powers" and comes from an album called eventually which is available as a wonderful looking 28-page luxurious large-format printed photo book with download card, as well as a limited vinyl edition. I have to say that, in this digital age, it is really great to see people presenting experimental recordings with such aplomb. It deserves to do well.
