Fem/Bot are Silvana Tello and Oman Morí, a duo based in Lima, Perú. As you will hear with their latest recording, Neural, they create songs packed full of drum machines, analogue synths, delay-charged guitars and even theremins. They remind me of the wonderful days of the metal-bashers and crunchy synth noise merchants. Raw and gritty, this is much more enjoyable than all that sanitized nonsense you hear on mainstream radio. A sort of authentic noir noise for all the boffins in obscure, play-worn t-shirts.
