As a fan of The Sundays, their recognisable guitar style in Parachute by emails2saturn had an instant appeal to me. Add to that a swathe of shoegaze punctuation and I am on-board. The key point is that the vocal works really well, floating and dancing at times to provide a playful texture to a cracking debut single.
Based in Manchester, emails2saturn is the alt-rock project of guitarist and writer Jack Boles and the song is about being in the moment of the first stages of love. Let's hope the love for this act continues, but for now - enjoy!
