There's not a lot of information that I can impart about Playpen Pups, apart from saying they are from Vancouver, Canada. However, I rather enjoyed their latest track Fridge Magnet, an instrumental with a pleasing combination of rock and electro elements, making it both organic and synthetic at the same time. There's a slick bassline, some deft electronica, punchy percussion and textural guitars. It hints at almost being like the theme tune to some weird, cult tv show, where the theme tune is better than the show.
