I have a history of wearing a lab coat, so it gives me great pleasure in sharing Peter Compo's Away In The Manger with you. Born into a musical family in New York City, Compo is a scientist specialising in Chemical engineering. For years he has "seen the common features of creativity in music, science, and business, and how all invention is Darwinian adaption at its core".
In Britain, we are more familiar with Compo as a wellington-boot wearing character in The Last Of The Summer Wine tv series. Peter Compo appears to be the complete antithesis of that fictional being, but they are both at the forefront of experimentation, one in glitch-ridden electronic music, the other usually in a converted bath.
