I have always been an advocate of education through the medium of song, so it was a great pleasure when The Drunk Astronomer (the third most popular act in England's third smallest city) sent over a debut track which provides a wealth of information about the human body. The single is called Every Body and is accompanied by an almost visual presentation-style video.
The Drunk Astronomer says "Quite simply, Every Body is a celebration of the human body. In a past life, I trained as a physiotherapist and spent countless hours learning human anatomy. One day, when sat with my guitar, all of this anatomy knowledge came spewing out of my subconscious. It started off as a joke - just listing very basic anatomy facts in the form of a song. But then it grew into something that had some poignancy mixed in with the ridiculousness and simplicity of it. It also grew into a huge tune with synths, three part harmonies, spacy guitars and a soaring chorus".
Every Body is taken from the Drunk Astronomer's EP 'Octopi' which set for release in February 2023.
