This video is for Swiss band Penkowski's track Butterfly. The influences are fairly obvious, but it was fun to hear something approached with a different spin. Musically and visually, it goes all over the place, you never quite know what's coming next - that's an aspect I always enjoy. Butterfly also has the longest fade-out in the history of music (well, the longest one this this week).
The track is taken from Penkowski's album 'Final Destination Disneyland' and the band say the song "is driven by a very independent mood of New Wave absurdity. It puts the singer on a hilarious journey from his successful but oh so depressing office to the butterfly utopia he is dreaming of ever since he read in the magazine."
I like absurdity, I like butterflies - it is a no-brainer.
