MUSIC RECOMMENDATION: Minihi - Ant Mill

A lot of experimental music can be quite challenging, most of it can be fairly unlistenable, but every so often you hear something which sits well upon the ears. That's what you get with Ant Mill by Minihi. A charming piece which is melodic enough to maintain the attention on one side of your brain, but odd enough to prod the other side. Ant Mill is very minimal, but the combination of piano, murmuring vocals, synths and rhythmic layers, provides just the right amount of sonic texture.

Who are Minihi? They are London-based musicians, Louise Anna and Zands Duggan, they create contemporary instrumental music, touching on both neo-classical and electronica, but with a penchant for percussive elements.

Please give Ant Hill a listen.
