Right, any sane person can see that Putin's war against Ukraine has been a terrible, terrible act of aggression. Here at Green Banana, we will always support anything which tries to help the Ukrainian cause. That's what we have with IO:A's song I Am Your Border.
There's a whole backstory, but to summarise; Leipzig musician Lutz Leukhardt, conductor Mykola Lysenko, composer Dmitry Konovalov, orchestra musicians in Kiev and the band IO:A have all united to record a song about the conflict. It has the simple message:
"You can occupy my country and destroy my cities. But you can't occupy me as a human being and an individual, and you can't destroy my love for freedom, for freedom of expression and for democracy. I, as a human being, will always be your border."
The song is available for free download and is intended to be a song for all people of Ukraine and their supporters. Those who wish to, can donate to the Ukrainian musicians or to a charity organization related to Ukraine.
Rather than me trying to explain any more, simply head over to the www.iamyourborder.com website where there is much more information, including a well-documented set of videos about the project.
