Here's instrumental duo Hot Mustard with their latest cut Green Mustard, a slinky, feel-good groove packed full of flavour. There's a certain 60s theme tune taste about it, with a laidback, brassy funk/soul blend under the lid. However, to make it more palatable to a modern audience, there's also a charmingly wonky infusion in the arrangement.
'Mustard Green' is the first musical offering from the band's forthcoming LP - the single features guest collaborators Jordan McLean of Antibalas (trumpet) and TV On The Radio's Dave “Smoota” Smith (trombone). There's an accompanying video, which is extremely stylish, a highly watchable dollop of animated work. Please view it below:
