Acid Bath is our second recommendation from those London punks, Beige Banquet. The vocal delivery almost reminded me of a faster, male version of the wonderfully bonkers, Lene Lovich, something which pleased me enormously. Put that amongst the short snap of bass, percussion and guitar, it becomes a sub-3-minute jump-around. Maybe like the jig you do after being whipped on the buttocks by a wet towel?
Acid Bath is the lead single from the upcoming EP of the same name and was recorded in their bedroom studio. Speaking on the track’s themes, Beige Banquet explain “Lyrically it's an ode to an undefined temporary solution for bitter desperation, almost to the point of nihilism”.
